So it looks like the blows against Iran are to be undertaken by that "oh so independent" nation, Israel, a defacto protectorate of the United States.
Yes, we must "let" little Israel flex its military might once again and maybe use some of those six hundred nuclear weapons believed to be in the Israeli arsenal. The United States will stand alongside Israel and say, "What else, could the victims of Hitler have done?" It is,of course, a non sequitor for public consumption. Still, I guess many in our ruling elites have the notion that when Israel has a war that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. They are dispensationalists or Armageddonites, end timers and loco without the locoweed.
The old "shock and awe" crowd who seemed to fare poorly after the last invasion of Iraq, when Iraqi submissiveness failed to materialize. Now they will have a lot of fun with the "shock and awe" of nuclear war against Iran! These people, our United States and Israeli leaders, are sociopaths, and very devout!
For some reason, we must be hysterical about a nuclear weapon that might be made one day by Iran. Thus another invasion of another nation must simply happen!
And, by golly, if we have to use nuclear weapons to prevent a hypothetical weapon from being built one day then we are going to do so because "we" never rule out nukes.
Someone might have a special nuclear device plan according to co-conspirator France! There is a rumor about an "oh so advanced" nuclear design that Iran will use to nuke Israel. This wild hypothesis is treated by media, pundits and specialists as a fact, rather than something fabricated to pose as a fact! That is what it is, a fake fact, a lie by another name. It is a wild, paranoid supposition raised to the level of religious belief.
The hundreds and thousands of nuclear devices in the hands of the members of the Security Council, as well as nations such as India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea are apparently just fine. No one is bombing those countries or "oh so hysterical" about those nukes! They say they are blowing up Iran to stop them from making a nuke!
The United States and Israel should take the nuclear arsenal out of their own backyards before they start blowing up other countries to prevent someone from making yet another one of these weapons which are "oh so numerous" in Israel and the United States. GB and France seem sanguine about the contemplated holocaust.
Israeli and United States stories about the menace of an Iranian bomb just don't make sense and their deeds reek of imperialist conquest, just as in Iraq.
The NYT just reported that United States oil companies are about to get contracts without open bidding, nobid contracts courtesy of the Iraqi puppet government! The United States is grabbing the Iraqi oil as you read this! Iran is next and they have oil too.
As for independence, the United States demanded two hundred military bases in Iraq in perpetuitity! Now Uncle Sam may settle for fifty eight military bases! Fifty eight military bases and you can just imagine how much pork there will be in that for Brown and Root! I guess every time the United States puts a new military base in a foreign land that nation becomes more " independent"! The State Department believes it, the White House believes it and apparently our great leaders and distinguished intelligensia believe this is true!
This time Israel will, apparently, not sit on the sidelines while the United States does almost all of the killing. All rational Americans and Israelis should denounce this crazy plan to attack Iran! We need to rally progressives within and without the religious communities to oppose this madness!
It is on the head of Bush and Olmert if they do this. Our nations will suffer from such a terrible crime even if we are the perpetrators. Does Israel want the United States to be at war with every nation on earth for some reason of "national security"? If so, it is a very negative stupid idea.
Invading Iran can only further destablize the world economy. Is that what the United States and Israel want, economic catastrophe throughout the world as Iran burns? It's almost as if Bush would like a Shia terrorist movement trying to hit United States targets here and around the world. Such criminals need to be impeached and prosecuted for their crimes.
No more impunity for the invaders of other lands! No more impunity for the United States and Israel! Try the leaders who commit crimes against peace! Abolish really existing nukes and then worry about the imaginary ones!
This so-called military exercise and warning is also an act of state terror committed by Israel but sponsored by the United States and perhaps Sunni fanatics in Saudi and the Persian Gulf who want to see Shia Iran as crippled as Iraq is.
Of course if Israel and the United States use nuclear weapons the reaction of the peoples of the world is likely to be even greater hostility towards the United States and its junior partner. What good is going to come out of it?
We cannot let Bush-Cheney suspend our elections or let them rig or fix them as in the last two elections. They could use this self-made crisis to destroy the Republic once and for all and remain in power during the "state of emergency".
Defend the election of 2008!

RUMORS OF BOMBING IRAN CONTINUE
Unfortunately, we continue to see folks predicting that the United States will intensify its military aggression against Iran. Of course the Democrats did nothing to stop the war in Iraq and it is rather obvious that the both Obama and Clinton will continue the war just as much as McCain will. Of course the routing and military defeat of U. S. forces
would spoil their plans much as it did in Vietnam.
Considering the right-wing tenor of the debates the two democratic candidates have with each other it is impossible to be critical of third party candidates. Neither party and no candidate has much to offer the average American, the working American, Joe Sixpack, the hoi polloi.
The soaring costs and dramatic declines in our standard of living are essentially ignored by these ivy league snobs who accuse one another of
being impolite about something. Each seeks to prove his or her adeptness at serving the same capitalist system that is destroying our vital ecosystems today. The only thing real about the debate is the almost visible leash each candidate has about her neck leading to the hand of big money and big investors. "WILL WORK FOR BIG MONEY"
is stamped on their collars. Arf!
Of course Clinton has really played the subtle white supremacist and male baiter with some finesse. Still, every time you step on a cracker you hear it crack and that is the way it has always been with the blacker than black Clinton cult. Obama is obviously being crucified by the patriotic right-wing "invade the world" racists and those, like Clinton, who pander to their prejudices.
Nor will the endless crimes of Bush and Cheney be prosecuted by this Congress or any regime run by Obama or Clinton. It is a very cozy two party dictatorship and justice might screw up the duopoly. No one of a progressive ilk will let this issue lie.
Bush and Cheney, like Pinochet and Fujimori need to be fully prosecuted for their crimes. Permanent organizations need to be established to pursue justice in these matters.
Of course the Obama and Clinton supporters who are naive and really hope for an end to imperialist war and really want to see women liberated and the chains of racial and national oppression broken, all these people should be worked with to see through the lies once they are
more thoroughly exposed in the case of Obama, a sort of stealth candidate with a very sparse track record.
The point is that progressives should be promoting and fostering revolutionary and radical reformist ideas while organizing inside and outside the two parties to raise political consciousness in every sector of
the working and other oppressed folk. Permanent and semi-permanent institutions need to be buillt by the democratic revolutionary self-organization of the people. Parallel popular institutions should be created that can do what big business and capitalism can not, foster human liberty in a liberated society. Furthermore, the organized people can engage in production for their own use.
Neither candidate seems to notice the lack of true democracy. They pretend the two party system is democracy but it is not the democracy or the working an other oppressed people. It is a democracy of the rich and for the rich. Of course Obama and Clinton are just excellent self-promoters who cut others down with similar skill. They are fabulous fundraisers who serve the rich and powerful. They have as much to do with the average American as any other millionaire or billionaire, next to nothing if that.
Both Obama and Clinton demonstrate a complete ideological servility to the big investors and owners of society and the world today. "YES BOSS!" is their underlying political slogan whatever they say to us, the "rubes". They are confident that American workers will never independently organize themselves. Of course the legal framework for labor in the United States is like a prison cell, one of their favorite solutions to problems like real democratic input, prisons.
Will Bush-Cheney launch air strikes on Iran? They are already bombing Iraq daily. Yes, they are bombing Iraq in much the same way they bombed South Vietnam. Its the same old crap it was back then, U. S. Imperialism trying to dominate the world by bombing it.
What are the slogans that all the candidates of the Republican and Democratic parties share? BOMB AND IMPRISON". But don't forget you have the freedom to wear a flag lapel pin or not, and be crucified for it when you don't!
Will Bush-Cheney strike out at multiple nations one bright morning? In an undemocratic society like the United States this is not impossible.
Indeed it has been happening for decades and centuries. Will he use nuclear weapons? I think mere notification of Congress by the President that he is bombing Iran constitutes presidential dictatorship.
If Obama or Clinton really cared about progressive ideas and values they
very probably wouldn't be candidates for the White House! The "YES BOSS" vetting took place long ago!
So who are the agents of democratic change in society? Not the two
parties of big money and big government working with and for big money. No, they are our keepers and our oppressors.

SO CALLED NEWS ASSUMES ATTACKS ON IRAN VIRUTALLY INEVITABLE
It really sucks to see the one and only supper power prepare to destroy yet another nation. Iraq has been converted into a
cauldron of warring factions and one to two million dead Iraqis during the most recent era of United States beneficence. Now Iran, once the fortunate beneficiary of an Anglo-American imposed dictator, the shah of iran, broke out from under their domination in 1979-80.
Unfortunately the Iranian revolution went islamic. Still, that is no reason to invade Iran. There is no good reason to invade Iran but there will be a lot of lies. The big propaganda now being that such a war is inevitable, the inevitable result of Iranians not being something the thugs in the White House say they ought to be.
So the United States has created something like a failed state or a mega-Lebanon in Iraq. This is nothing to boast about but
General Petraeus and his Commander-in-Chief like happy talk. They tell us happy stories while Mr. Bush hopes to distract from the
debacle by creating another war. This time the scenario will be more absurd and surreal than the last brutal invasion.
So is the French government going to be one of the diplomatic enablers of the war against Iran? Or is this a story that distorts the French position? I don't know. Clearly phrases like "right to the end" suggest an inevitable outcome.
I think the bombardment of Iran would be a crime very much like the recent invasion of Iraq, a crime that breaks the peace and
carries out crimes against the population of Iran. What is the United States going to do now, reduce another advanced muslim country to rubble?
Obviously Bush/Cheney should be prevented from committing these crimes. Impeachment might trim their authority and sideline their ambitions to make another imperialist war. Are those who oppose impeachment telling us they want this war?
If Congress allows yet another war of aggression to go forward then it is difficult to point to any part of the Federal Government that represents the interests of the American people.

France warning of war with Iran
French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner says the world should prepare for war over Iran's nuclear programme.
"We have to prepare for the worst, and the worst is war," Mr Kouchner said in an interview on French TV and radio.
Mr Kouchner said negotiations with Iran should continue "right to the end", but an Iranian nuclear weapon would pose "a real danger for the whole world".
Iran has consistently denied it is trying to acquire nuclear weapons but intends to carry on enriching uranium.
Mr Kouchner also said a number of large French companies had been asked not to tender for business in Iran.
EU sanctions
"We are not banning French companies from submitting. We have advised them not to. These are private companies."
"But I think that it has been heard and we are not the only ones to have done this."
He said France wanted the European Union to prepare sanctions against Iran.
"We have decided that while negotiations are continuing to prepare eventual sanctions outside the ambit of UN sanctions. Our good friends, the Germans, suggested that," he said.
Until now the Security Council of the United Nations has imposed economic sanctions on Iran, but did not allow for military action.
The United States has not ruled out a military attack against Iran to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

BUSH PROMOTES WAR OF AGGRESSION AGAINST IRAN
After leading a completely illegal and immoral war in Iraq Mr. Bush wants to do it again, only this time he wants to violate international law and commit crimes against peace vis-a-viz Iran. His recent speeches, like the one reported upon today by the BBC (see below)contain proof of his bellicosity.
Ignoring the domestic economic meltdown and any issue that really matters to American citizens Mr. Bush is intoxicated by the idea of deceiving the American people again by telling scary lies about Iran. Despite the fundamentally good relations between the Iraqi government and Iran Mr. Bush wants to blame the slaughter of over a million Iraqis since the second invasion of Iraq on someone else. Yet it is the hands of Mr. Bush and the rump Congress that has always ratifies his illegal acts of war who have the blood of over a million Iraqis on their hands. Some Americans may not want to recognize these facts and they will be the ones most likely to embrace Mr. Bush's lies, lies that blame someone else for what the United States has done to ravage and pillage Iraq.
Yes, American troops are being killed in Iraq but the idea that Iran is somehow behind the resistance to the faltering American invasion is ludicrous. Only Mr. Bush and his clique want American troops to continue the effort to make Iraq into a failed state under the thumb of American oil interests.
Indeed, Iran could readily provide shoulder launched missiles and knock down dozens of helicopters a month. They haven't done it. Mr Ahmadinejad's comments about working with other nations in the region underlines the fact that it is only the United States that is promoting war in the Persian Gulf. Iran wants to work with other regional powers and is working with the Maliki government now.
As for Mr. Bush's concern about nuclear weapons in the region it seems he has forgotten that the only serious nuclear threat is the United States and Mr. Bush may very well plan to use nuclear weapons by provoking a war with Iran just as he did with Iraq.
Impeach Bush/Cheney to Prevent Nuclear War!

Bush warns Iran over insurgents
Bush attacks Iran
US President George W Bush has warned Iran to stop supporting the militants fighting against the US in Iraq.
In a speech to US war veterans in Reno, Nevada, Mr Bush renewed charges that Tehran has provided training and weapons for extremists in Iraq.
"The Iranian regime must halt these actions," he said.
Earlier, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned that US authority in the region was rapidly collapsing, and Iran would help fill the void.
"Soon, we will see a huge power vacuum in the region," Mr Ahmadinejad said.
"Of course, we are prepared to fill the gap, with the help of neighbours and regional friends like Saudi Arabia, and with the help of the Iraqi nation."
'Nuclear threat'
In his speech to the American Legion, Mr Bush hit back, accusing Iran's Revolutionary Guards of funding and arming insurgents in Iraq.
And he said Iran's leaders could not avoid some responsibility for attacks on coalition troops and Iraqi civilians.
"I have authorised our military commanders in Iraq to confront Tehran's murderous activities," he said.
HAVE YOUR SAY
Lots of accusations, but absolutely no evidence to support them. He's not even taking the trouble to make any evidence up this time!
David, Newcastle
The BBC's Justin Webb, in Washington, says this looks like a conscious effort by the White House to elevate the tension between Washington and Teheran to a new level.
Such an effort might be designed to avoid the need for armed conflict or might equally be an effort to bring that conflict about, our correspondent says.
In a wide-ranging speech, Mr Bush also tackled the issue of Iran's nuclear ambition - which Tehran insists is solely to provide power, but the US believes may be used to develop weapons.
Mr Bush said Tehran's pursuit of nuclear technology threatened to put the Middle East "under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust".
It was Mr Bush's second major speech on foreign policy in a week.
Correspondents say he is seeking to rally support for the so-called surge strategy of sending more troops to Iraq.
